Stop Smoking Tips
Smoking can be traced back to as early as 3000-5000BC where the people of South America smoked for spiritual purposes. During those days, tobacco smoking was highly ‘ritualized’ and was mostly associated with royal ceremonies. This is contrary to today’s smoking as it is a personal choice and not attached to any spirituality. In the past, smoking was mostly associated with the youths and teenagers because it made them look ‘funky’ and ‘grownup’. Smoking is usually not a problem as the first puff is usually experimental. It becomes an issue when one needs to stop due to either health or other personal reasons only to realize that he is already too far in the ‘cycle’.
Why you should stop smoking?

But as you may have realized continuing smoking is not really an option considering all the health effects that are associated with it-unless you do not treasure your life.

More so, it is said 1 out 2(half) lifetime smokers will lose their live due to their habit and half of these deaths will occur in middle age.
Why smoking is dangerous to your health?
Cigarette contains carbon monoxide and nicotine which have been found to increase the heart rate of a smoker which in turn increases the blood pressure. Straining the heart and the blood vessels usually causes strokes and heart attacks. It can also slow down blood-flow which cuts off oxygen to the limbs which may end up being amputated.
Tar which is also found in cigarette smoke coats the lungs just like soot in a chimney .It is this substance that makes cigarette smoking so addictive and it is known for causing lung and other types of cancer. Some people think that they cannot be affected this way by taking cigarettes with low-tar; this is definitely not the case as smoking involves taking huge puffs and holding in for longer.
Carbon monoxide is commonly referred to as the ‘silent killer’. This is because it is odorless and tasteless. It deprives the brain and muscles of oxygen which in turn makes the whole body to over work. In the long run, the ‘airways’ swell up and only little air is able to enter the lungs. Carbon monoxide attaches itself to the oxygen receptors and removes oxygen molecules from the red-blood-cells. The carbon monoxide in the blood reduces the red blood cells effectiveness in getting rid of Carbon dioxide which is usually present in the blood for exhalation during breathing in addition to reducing the amount of oxygen in the blood.
Smoking effects are usually visible on the skin as it causes the blood vessels in the skin to compress. This in turn causes premature ageing of the skin due a combination of exposure to the sun and the chemical elements that are found in cigarette smoke. And also because of the fact that there is no enough oxygen being supplied by the blood vessels to the skin. Smoking is also known to cause emphysema. Emphysema slowly makes your lungs to rot. People with this disease are often diagnosed with bronchitis repeatedly which in most cases leads to lung failure.
